A foggy morning routine

Recently I have seen some rather foggy mornings. I typically start in sunshine, meeting the fog after I have left the apartment in Knoxville and am descending toward the Clinch River. I recall that, living in Cambridge, the River Cam would often have some mist around it late on winter nights. The Oak Ridge Turnpike is also often foggy and my house lies some way above it, this morning I again drove that last half-mile out of the fog up into the sunshine and to my home.

We've had some pretty decent early morning mists on the Cam this year. They don't seem to happen as often as they used to: it's a long since the fog was so thick I got lost on Parker's Piece.
